I loved the story. I received this book as an Arc. I really like when books are a little bit different and this is one of then. Devon and Kyla meet by chance at a bar and are so attracted to each other that they don't even notice that they are different species. After Kyla becomes pregnant they figure it out and then decide they will fight to stay together. Along the way they gather others who end up believing the same and form a new pack. It's always nice to see how people or in this case shifters can join together to fight unfair prejudice's. The only thing I was a bit disappointed about was that even though Devon and Kyla had a HEA the author didn't reveal how the rest of their newly formed pack faired. Hopefully in the future she will write about other members of the pack. Overall a great story just right for a short read.Product details

Rally enjoyed this shifter story. I have been partial to werewolf's only. Never took time time to follow how different were species interacted. Coyotes were displayed as nasty outcasts. This book gave me a look at their pack workings. This book is refreshing and made me smile seeing as how everything worked out.

This was a beautiful story of two beings different yet they were the same. They were both from a different culture and they were both lonely. Deavon found that what he was looking for was right before his eyes,she was gorgeous,smart,funny,and she was looking for someone to have a nice evening with. They both found love,adventure mystery and more.
I absolutely loved this book! So much detail, and; imagination. The story just pulled you in, until you just couldn't put it down; or like me...just didn't want to! I highly recommend this book to those of you who like the kind of books that just grab you. The kind of story the lets you feel all the highs, and; lows of the characters. Thanks Ellie)
This is a short fast read, characters well built, and even with a small amount of background you become invested in all of them. The main characters Devin & Kyla are strong characters and the story line very good. There are many more stories here to be told, and Ellie Valentina needs to write them!! She is a new author for me, but one I will keep reading.
Again, the baby in the title draws me in, and I was not disappointed! Mistakes happen when you can't tell the guy you are picking up in the Human bar is not Human. Until you find yourself pregnant, that is. Who wouldn't want someone who immediately puts your safety above all? Loved this book, and will be looking for more Ellie Valentina!
Too much left unaccounted for. Kyla and Devan story could have had so much potential, but unfortunately too much was left unaccounted for. No explanation as to what happened with either brother or her father. Sometimes I think that authors do themselves a disservice by cranking out novels without honest beta readers to help them improve. Then they receive less than stellar reviews and they complain or get offended.

This is a fast paced novella or really low word count novel. It was a fun little story but could have been so much better. There was plenty of room for the author to delve more into the budding relationship of the two shifters and their growing war. The end climax didn’t seem natural. The shifting loyalties during the battle seemed out of place but might have fit better if more time had been taken earlier.
I also had some issues with the writing. There were several places where names were swapped or words were misused. Most of them were common enough errors that a good beta reader or typo team should have caught them.
